There was some controversy around him at the time as one of his paintings pictured the suicide of Kurt Cobain.
Personally i found the image rather sad and for me it was about taking the glamour out of the 'Dead Rock Star Club' and all the bullshit surrounding the packaging of the dead famous and the famous dead.
Writing this blog has got me trawling through bits of long dead grey matter and while i was doing that - Joe came to mind again. The book that he had out in the 90's is now worth a whole wad of moolah and damn i wish i had bought it at the time!
